This section embraces the modern side of
Worcester. Since I can remember Worcester has been a growing
and thriving city, but no more so than now. In the last 10
years Worcester has seen incredible growth and development.
Many areas, previously derelict, have seen new developments
this has provided highly desirable city living accommodation
and some excellent locations for a bit of retail therapy.
Business has also seen a great boom with
companies like Apollo 2000, IBM and Seimens settling in the
area and traditional older Worcester businesses such as Lea
and Perrins, Kays Catalogue and Bosch (Worcester Heating Systems)
thriving.
Worcester also offers a great program of
entertainment, events include the Worcester Festival,
the famous Three Choirs Festival and the Victorian Christmas Market. More permanent features
include excellent eating out, traditional pubs, great sports
(Cricket and Rugby being the highest profile) and less than
10 miles away is one of the nations biggest province theatres:
The Malvern Theatre.
So this section, is a tribute to Worcester and
everything Worcester.
